Vision

Our starting points:

• The full exercise of women’s rights is closely related to the quality of democratic institutions. Hence the great need for their strengthening.
• When democracy was restored, inequalities between men and women gradually started to fade away, at least as regards the passage of legislation. However, the actual exercise of rights on the part of women requires not only their recognition by the constitution and the law but also the implementation of public policies to put those in place.

That is why, we think it crucial to consider women’s living conditions for the assessment, design and proposal of public policies to the relevant authorities as well as to analyze the impact of those policies on women’s lives.

Also, for women to claim for the effective fulfillment of their rights, access to justice must be ensured. In our view, access to justice is a right and the State has the duty to ensure it.
